The project involves several partnerships within three overlapping parts. The parts are funded in different ways. • The first is the setting up of the Soil Culture Research Network from 1 July 2013 – 31 August 2014. This will be led by the Research in Art, Nature and the Environment group at Falmouth University and benefits from a confirmed grant from the AHRC with CCANW as a partner • During 2014 and 2015, CCANW will organise eight new residencies for emerging artists with an exhibition touring in the South West towards the end of this period • Finally, CCANW will deliver an exhibition of existing work by eight established artists whose work has addressed soil-related issues in different ways over the past 40 years, accompanied by learning activities. The launch is planned for end of 2015 at Peninsula Arts, University of Plymouth (tbc) before a planned tour to at least two venues in Britain and one in Germany continuing 2016-17.
